The Mission of the Connecticut Counseling Association (CCA) is to enhance human development throughout the life span and to promote the counseling profession.

As a state branch of the American Counseling Association, CCA is an organization which represents professional counselors, graduate students in professional counseling, and others in related fields. Membership in CCA provides a professional identity at the state level. CCA and its members promote professional growth and networking through its four divisions and one regional chapter. The unique needs of many counseling specialties are addressed and supported by CCA.

 

Legislative Action in CCA


As counselors we need to be involved in advocacy. Contacting your legislators about issues important to counselors may take only a few minutes and does not require special knowledge. You can make a difference by contacting your legislators who rely on you to inform and educate them about your concerns.
